Terms and Conditions
Academic references can be provided with our full company letterhead (including companies house number) and will be charged at our standard hourly rate (£65/hr). We estimate the time of writing will take between 15-30 minutes depending on the level of detail requested. This is strictly an estimate and we cannot guarantee this time frame.
- If a student is late for a lesson we will not be able to go over the agreed lesson time.
- If a student misses a lesson it is not refundable and rearrangements are charged at the tutors normal rate.
- It is not possible to cancel lessons with less than 24 hours notice, no rearrangement or refund will be possible. If you need to cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice please contact the tutor directly to let them know.
1: Memberships and Payments
1.1.0 Memberships:
1.1.1 Membership is defined as the ability to access webinar course pages, attend the live lessons and drop in sessions, have homework marked by your tutor and have 24/7 email support from your tutor.
1.1.2 Membership payments are weekly payments where payment is taken weekly on the same day you took out a membership.
1.1.3 Memberships will be terminated automatically when a course is complete.
1.1.4 Members can cancel memberships any time free of charge. No previous payments will be refundable.
1.1.5 Memberships are a premium feature of our website and give you access to content unavailible to non-paying users.
1.1.6 Memberships must be cancelled by the user on the website here. If a user does not cancel their membership no payments will be refundable.
1.1.7 Memberships must be changed by the user on the website here. If a user does not change their membership no payments will be refundable.
1.2 Late Joining
1.2.1 If a course is joined after it’s start date, a fee of 75% of total cost of the weeks missed must be paid. This covers the lesson videos you will have access to and also includes marking and feedback for previous homework/tests.
1.2.2 If you do not wish for your child to do the missed homework, a fee of only 40% will be charged as you will still have access to all the previous course materials.
1.2.3 You will be invoiced separately for these charged, and payment must be paid by BACS within 1 week of receipt of the invoice. If payment is not received within 1 week your course membership may be cancelled.
I don’t like to back charge but this is to ensure fairness to those who have paid full price from the start of the course.
2: Homework
2.1 Parents will be emailed if homework is not complete. Students will always be given enough time to complete the homework assignments.
2.20 After 3 missed/late homeworks you will be given a first warning. An email from the parents is required explaining why the homework is late/missed.
2.21 After 4 late/missed homeworks you will be given a final warning, An email from the parents is required explaining why the homework is late/missed.
2.22 If 5 homeworks are late/missed without medical evidence (doctors note is required) you will be removed from the course and no payment will be refundable. You will not be allowed back on the course until all the homework is complete. At Priority Learning we pride ourselves on getting our students the highest grades possilbe and homework being completed on time is a large part of this.
2.23 If homework is late it will recieve a 50% grade penalty and may not be marked.
3: Safeguarding and Recordings
3.1 All the webinar course lessons are recorded and can be rewatched by any students on the course.
3.2 The lesson recordings are hosted on vimeo and only people with the private link can access the lesson recording.
3.3 The lesson recordings are the intellectal property of Priority Learning LLP. Priority Learning LLP hold all copyright to lesson recordings. Any attempt to share the lesson recordings is a criminal offence.
3.4 Children’s voices may be a part of the recording if they ask a question during class. If you do not want your child’s voice on a recording you must inform us in writing and have mics turned off for all lessons.
3.5 Children’s faces may be a part of the recording if they have webcams turned on. If you do not want your child’s face on a recording you must inform us in writing and have webcams turned off for all lessons.
3.6 Zoom or google hangouts links are not to be shared with anyone outside a course, any attempt to do so is a violation of our safeguarding policy and you will be permanently removed from all Priority Learning courses, your accounts will be deleted and no payments will be refundable.
4: Exams
4.1 Priority Learning cannot enter any children for exams and take no responsibility for the availibility of exam centres.
4.2 Priority Learning takes no responsibility if for any reason, a student cannot take an exam and course fees are non-refundable if exams are not taken.
4.3 Priority Learning courses will teach the material required for students to be able to pass the exams, however we accept no liability for the child’s exam grades.
4.4 Priority Learning are not liable if a child fails an exam or does not achieve their desired grade.
4.5 GCSE Astronomy: Coursework must be completed and submitted to the exam centre before the date outlined in the specification if it is not, the child will not be able to sit the exam. We take no responsibility for incomplete coursework.
